CiS Forschungsinstitut für Mikrosensorik GmbH as the starting point for German-Chinese cooperation 

For more than 25 years, the CiS Forschungsinstitut für Mikrosensorik GmbH in Germany and especially in Thuringia has been a leader in the customer-specific development and manufacture of various high-quality sensors. The expertise of the researchinstitute is recognized worldwide, so that since 2016 business relationships and friendships to China, especially in the province of Jiangsu, have been cultivated. This creates a bilateral, industry-specific bridge that is a win-win situation for everyone involved. 

The Chinese end of the bridge was established on November 28, 2017 with the foundation of the "Deutsch-Chinesisches MEMS Smart Sensor Institute" in Nanjing, with the CiS Forschungsinstitut für Mikrosensorik GmbH as a role model and strong partner. 

The building of the German-Chinese MEMS Smart Sensor Institute was officially opened just a few months later. On this occasion, the Thuringian Minister of Economics Wolfgang Tiefensee announced that an initiative would follow in Thuringia. The funding opportunities were discussed in detail during a delegation trip in July 2018, during which high-ranking representatives of the Nanjing region got to know and appreciate Thuringia as a business location. Mutual political support was subsequently reaffirmed during a second delegation trip. 

As a result, two company foundations followed. First, in February 2019 the company "Nanjing Detuya Incubator Managment Co., Ltd." was established as a local project partner for the Thuringian company. This was followed by the founding of the DC Industrie Entwicklung GmbH in Erfurt on April 11, 2019. It stands for the next step to intensify the German-Chinese relationships of the sensor industry.
